Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has become the second celebrity to arrive in Australia, ready to join the cast of I’m A Celebrity. The soap star touched down at Brisbane Airport ahead of the ITV show’s launch next Sunday, following Kelly Brook, who was the first to land Down Under.
Speaking on arrival, Lisa said: “I’m from the north — we’re made of tough stuff.”
The 49-year-old, who plays Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, added: “I’m a Dingle — I can handle anything! We did Dingles Down Under years ago, so it feels only right to do it again.”
Lisa also insisted she’s not fazed by any creepy-crawlies, saying: “I’ve worked on a farm; it comes with the territory.”
Earlier in the day, Kelly Brook was all smiles as she arrived, joking: “I haven’t seen my auntie Sheila in ages, so I can’t wait to catch up with her — and I love that everyone’s so excited for me.”

When asked about her fear of insects, Kelly joked there might be a few lurking in her “relative’s” garden, adding: “I don’t know what you mean — I’m just visiting a distant cousin. I’m excited to go surfing and to see my cousin I haven’t seen in such a long time… plus the koalas and kangaroos. There’s so much to look forward to.”
ITV is set to officially unveil the line-up next week, though two celebrity names will be missing, as they’re planned to enter the jungle later as surprise arrivals.
Ant and Dec will once again host the hit show, which marks its 25th anniversary this year. A source close to the production shared: “Producers are going all out to make the 25th series the most unforgettable one yet.”
In recent weeks, there has been intense speculation about the celebrity line-up. Over the weekend, The Mirror revealed that Nick Ferrari decided to pull out of talks with ITV about joining I’m A Celebrity after his radio bosses offered to match his hefty jungle fee.
Producers had been in discussions with the LBC presenter in what insiders described as “very promising talks.” However, once Ferrari informed his Global bosses about the possible move, they urged him to reconsider.
An insider explained: “They promised to match whatever ITV was offering because he’s seen as such an important and much-loved part of the LBC lineup.”
