Coronation Street legend Georgia Taylor has hit back at a troll who mocked her new tattoo.
Coronation Street’s Georgia Taylor didn’t hesitate to clap back at a rude online troll who took a swipe at her stunning new tattoo.
The actress first became a household name as Toyah Battersby on the ITV soap. Toyah arrived on the cobbles in 1997 alongside the rest of the Battersby clan, including her sister Leanne (Jane Danson).
Over the years, Toyah has been at the centre of some of Corrie’s most dramatic plots — from her harrowing street rape to the heartbreaking death of her husband Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo). Her time in Weatherfield has certainly never been dull.
The past year alone has been especially turbulent. Not only has Toyah faced a battle with ovarian cancer, but she also embarked on an affair with Leanne’s partner Nick Tilsley (Ben Price). When the truth surfaced, it’s no surprise that Leanne was furious.
However, the pair have managed to patch things up again, helped along by the recent return of Leanne’s sister Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) last month.
Away from the cobbles, Toyah actress Georgia often keeps her 104k Instagram followers in the loop about her daily life. And this week, the Corrie favourite thrilled fans by unveiling her latest tattoo.
On Instagram, Georgia posted several snaps from her visit to the tattoo studio, including a close-up shot of her gorgeous new floral-inspired ink.
In her caption, she wrote: “First visit to the newly established @tiger_heron_tattoo today. Sarah @big.bird.tattoo and Paul @stretch.armstrong.tattoo have created the most gorgeously chilled, safe and inclusive space. It’s an absolute joy hanging out with you both. Sarah, thank you for decorating my body so beautifully, as always.”
Fans of the Toyah actress quickly flooded the comments with compliments about her new ink. But one follower questioned it, writing: “Please tell me that’s not real.”
Georgia spotted the remark and fired back with a simple reply: “Of course it’s real.”
Another troll also appeared to leave a rude remark, which has since seemingly been deleted. Responding to the comment, Georgia defiantly wrote: “What a f****** weird thing to say. Maybe I’m having a midlife awakening.”
Despite the negativity, many more followers were full of praise for her new ink. One fan gushed: “It’s beautiful, just like you.” A second added: “Absolutely gorgeous, darling.” And a third chimed in: “I’ve got major tattoo envy right now — I need to book mine in. It’s lovely.”
