Carolyn Hennesy, who portrays attorney Diane Miller on General Hospital, has finally shared exactly how she broke her leg — and she did it with her trademark humor and elegance. Read on for all the details.
The Injury Required Surgery
GH viewers learned that Carolyn’s injury was severe enough to require surgery — and even additional time in the operating room. Naturally, fans grew worried about the beloved daytime star. Ahead of the weekend, Carolyn took to Instagram to explain what really happened and reassure her followers.

No matter how tough things get, the real-life Diane Miller always seems to radiate positivity. Even after her painful injury, she had nothing but affection for her furry companion. Naturally, General Hospital fans flooded the comments with support. Co-star Laura Wright (Carly Spencer), also known for her love of animals, chimed in with, “Big big hugs Carolyn!!!!!!”
