Emmerdale has delivered a troubling twist for Kev Townsend as he pulled out a gun.
Emmerdale’s Kev Townsend pushed forward with his mission to win back his husband, Robert Sugden, while also dropping a chilling confession.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, former inmate Kev (Chris Coghill) is desperate to repair their marriage after Robert (Ryan Hawley) recently called things off, leaving him heartbroken.
Robert still believes Kev is dying from a severe heart condition and has vowed to support him “at the end,” though he no longer wants them to be together as a couple.
Behind Kev’s back, Robert has rekindled his relationship with his ex-husband, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
On Wednesday (November 19), Kev arrived at Robert’s place and found Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) having trouble purchasing a second-hand drum mower for the farm.
The lowest price Victoria can find is £2,000 for the mower, but she admitted to Kev that she doesn’t have the extra money to buy it.
Without hesitation, Kev kindly offered to cover the cost for her – whether she wanted it as a loan or a gift – which left Victoria uneasy, knowing Robert was still lying to him.
Later on, Robert told Kev, “I know why you’re doing this. It won’t change anything,” though it was clear that lovestruck Kev didn’t seem to care.
Later, Kev was shown back at Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Claudette’s (Flo Wilson) house, gripping a handgun as he prepared his next move.
However, in a surprising turn, Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Kev’s target isn’t Robert or Aaron, but drug dealer Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and his villainous mother, Celia (Jaye Griffiths).
The duo have been manipulating April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) for months, forcing her into drug dealing and attempting to push her toward sex work, with no indication of stopping.
Ray and Celia have also been exploiting a group of vulnerable people, including Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), using them as unpaid labour on their farm.
With a gun now in his possession, could Kev be the one to put a stop to Ray and Celia’s reign of terror in the village?
Fans quickly turned to social media to share their theories. One viewer wrote: “What’s Kev planning with that gun? Maybe he’ll finally take Celia and Ray out of Emmerdale.”
