Emmerdale fans are sure that an unsuspecting resident will stumble upon Anya’s shallow grave after her shocking death.
Emmerdale fans are certain they’ve figured out who will discover Anya’s body after she was secretly buried in Monday’s episode (November 24).
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) was left heartbroken as he watched his friend and fellow captive, Anya (Alia Al-Shabibi), die because Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) refused to treat her infection. Kim Tate (Claire King) visited the farm but didn’t realise Celia was exploiting a group of enslaved workers, including Bear.
Anya had arrived in the village hidden in the back of one of Caleb Miligan’s (William Ash) trucks and had been forced to work on Celia’s farm with Bear and several other vulnerable adults. She was briefly taken in by Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), who genuinely cared for her and tried to help, but Anya disappeared shortly afterward.
During Monday’s episode (November 24), Bear assumed that Ray would arrange a proper funeral for Anya. Instead, Ray nonchalantly tried to dispose of her body while figuring out how to cover it up.
Furious, Bear grabbed Ray and pinned him against the wall, tightly holding the red bracelet he had taken from Anya’s body.
Meanwhile, Celia headed to Butlers to discuss business with Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb), who was preparing items to donate to the charity shop. Soon after, Celia learned that Ray had promised to give Anya a funeral without informing her.
She instructed Ray that they could handle the funeral arrangements themselves and ordered him to bring Bear and Anya’s body to a designated location later that evening.
Ray transported Bear and Anya’s bodies and met up with Celia on a section of farmland owned by the Butlers. There, the two men dug a grave and placed Anya’s body inside, not realising that the blanket covering her actually belonged to Moira.
Bear also tied Anya’s bracelet to a tree to mark where she’d been buried. But in a twist, Emmerdale viewers now believe Ruby will spot Anya’s bracelet and, by following it, discover the shallow grave — ultimately leading her to Anya’s body.
On Facebook, one fan speculated: “Ooh, I wonder if Ruby will come across Anya’s ribbon that Bear tied to the tree.”
Another replied: “Oh yes, I hope she does. I’m not enjoying this storyline. I want Bear to realise they’re dangerous people.”
A third viewer agreed, commenting: “Exactly my thoughts! I just can’t picture Ruby wandering around the Butlers’ land — and would anyone else even notice the ribbon? Still, I’m sure they’ll come up with a reason for her to be there if the plot needs it.”
Another fan suggested: “Maybe Ruby comes across an unmarked grave and assumes it’s Anthony’s, but then notices the bracelet she gave Anya.”
Someone else added: “That’s what I was thinking too! I remember Caleb got that bit of land from Kim a while back, so maybe Ruby could be out in the fields because of that? But the show focused on it too much for it to be meaningless.”
