Emmerdale fans are calling for an explanation after a well-loved character appears to have ‘disappeared’ from the ITV soap.
Emmerdale fans are growing increasingly worried about Cain Dingle, who is still nowhere to be seen on the ITV soap.
Earlier this year, Cain — played by Jeff Hordley — left the village to track down John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) after learning that John had murdered his son, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
His sudden disappearance left his wife, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb), completely unaware of what was going on until Cain eventually got in touch weeks later from a prison in Dover, Kent.
When Cain did return home, he seemed on edge after failing to find John, who had been helped to flee by Caleb Miligan (William Ash) in return for Cain keeping quiet about Anthony Fox’s death.
He admitted that he’d been drunk and behaving badly on the ferry from France back to England, which led to him being arrested as soon as he arrived at the port.
The last time viewers saw Cain was on October 22, when he supported Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) in encouraging the men of the village to get their prostates checked after Liam’s cancer scare.
Since Cain’s disappearance, it has come to light that Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and her son Ray (Joe Absolom) have been exploiting slave labour for their farm work. Celia is currently partnering with Moira on turkey farming, but Moira is still unaware of just how sinister Celia really is.
On Monday (November 24), Celia deceived Moira by claiming she was taking some unwanted items to a charity shop, but instead she used a blanket containing Moira’s DNA to wrap Anya’s body before secretly burying her at Butlers.
The following day, Celia visited the makeshift grave and, upon seeing Moira, suggested they go for a friendly walk while discussing business matters.
Emmerdale fans are now urging for Cain’s return to protect Moira from Celia’s deceit and manipulation.
Posting on X, one viewer wrote: “Where’s Master Cain Dingle when you need him #Emmerdale.”
Another fan wrote: “Has anyone seen Cain Dingle, last spotted on 22nd October 2025? If found, please return him to his wife, Moira Dingle #Emmerdale.”
A third joked: “Cain, please come home to your wife! If anyone spots him, call immediately — his wife needs him ASAP #Emmerdale.”
“I’m having serious withdrawals here,” one viewer exclaimed, while another added: “Celia is horrid doing that to Moira — just wait until Cain finds out #Emmerdale.”
