“Next week, EastEnders viewers will have to bid farewell to two beloved characters, and it’s sure to be emotional.”
EastEnders’ fan-favourite Freddie Slater is set to say goodbye to Walford next week—and he won’t be leaving on his own.
Viewers will remember that Freddie (Bobby Brazier) first appeared in 2022 as the son of Little Mo Mitchell (Kacey Ainsworth), quickly becoming a cherished member of the Slater family.
During his three years in Walford, Freddie has been at the centre of numerous storylines, from uncovering the dark past of his biological father, Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), to navigating his own ADHD diagnosis.
He also famously came to the aid of his second cousin, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), against her persistent stalker, Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), and became involved in a complicated love triangle with his best friend Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford).

With a little encouragement from Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), Freddie and Anna have decided to give their relationship another chance, according to OK!.
Anna first arrived in Walford in June 2023 as the long-lost daughter of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). Since then, she’s had to come to terms with her mother’s time in witness protection and has endured being a victim of drink spiking. Despite this, a new beginning awaits her.
On Monday (December 1), the Slater family prepares to say goodbye to Freddie as he makes his permanent exit from Albert Square, with Anna set to leave alongside him.

The celebrations take a tense turn as Lily (Lillia Turner) worries that Jean (Gillian Wright) is overdoing things, while Kat (Jessie Wallace) tries to calm a visibly upset Zoe.
Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) gives a heartfelt speech about Freddie and Anna, but the festive mood is shattered when a troubling message appears in The Vic’s window as the Square’s Christmas lights are switched on.
Convinced that someone is deliberately tormenting her, Zoe lashes out at Kat, Alfie (Shane Richie), and her younger brother Tommy (Sonny Kendall). She then storms downstairs, leading to another confrontation with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) in the bar.

Kat is forced to step in and, with some reluctance, asks her daughter to leave. Later, Zoe finds comfort with her ex, Anthony Trueman (Nicolas Bailey), who offers her a place to stay.
Meanwhile, across the Square, Anna is determined to patch things up between Kojo (Dayo Koleosho), Gina (Francesca Henry), and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) before she leaves. Will she succeed in bringing them together?
Freddie and Anna share an emotional farewell to Walford on Tuesday, 2 December.
