“EastEnders star Lacey Turner has posted a rare photo with her mother, Bev Harvey, while taking a break from the BBC soap.”
Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater in EastEnders, is currently taking a break from the show.
Viewers recently witnessed an emotional goodbye as Stacey left Walford for a new life in Brazil in scenes that aired last month on BBC One.
However, Lacey has reassured fans that her character’s absence won’t be permanent.
In a heartfelt farewell video shared on YouTube, the mother-of-three received warm messages from her co-stars and crew on her final day of filming. She told them: “I will be back in a minute. Thank you, everyone. I’m coming back, I won’t be gone long. I’m not great at speeches, but thank you. I love you all so much, and this is a very special place to work,” according to the Mirror.
In May, it was officially confirmed that Lacey Turner would be taking a break from the popular BBC soap to focus on life outside of the show.
Speaking to The Sun, Lacey said: “It’s time for both me and Stacey to have a break, and who knows what Stacey will get up to while she’s away? Knowing her, it’ll never be boring.”
An EastEnders spokesperson told the publication: “We can confirm that Lacey will be off-screen later this year, but there is still plenty of drama to come beforehand. We look forward to planning Stacey’s return when Lacey feels the time is right.”
On Monday (November 24), Lacey Turner shared some rare photos with her mother, Bev Harvey, on her official Instagram. The duo posed for a selfie while enjoying quality time together at Harry’s Dolce Vita.
Lacey is happily married to Mat Kay, with the couple tying the knot in 2017. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Dusty Violet, in July 2019, followed by a son, Trilby Fox, in February 2021. Their family grew further with the arrival of their third child, Gipsy Olive, in January 2025.
Lacey first appeared on EastEnders as Stacey Slater in 2004, captivating viewers until 2010. She returned to the role in 2014 and remained a key figure on the show until October this year. She has now opted for a fresh start in Brazil, following an invitation from her brother Sean Slater and the return of her former love, Max Branning (Jake Wood), to Walford.
