EastEnders fans have been left laughing after noticing a blunder involving Freddie Slater in an upcoming episode of the BBC soap.
On Tuesday (November 25), the newest EastEnders spoilers dropped, revealing that Freddie — played by Bobby Brazier — will be saying goodbye to Walford for good next week.
Freddie first arrived on the Square in 2022 as Little Mo’s (Kacey Ainsworth) son, believing for years that Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was his real dad.
He quickly became a popular member of the Slater family, but his world was shaken when he discovered that his biological father, Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), had raped his mother, leading to his conception.
Freddie was also diagnosed with ADHD, rescued his second cousin Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) from her dangerous stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), and became caught up in a love triangle with his best friend Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), according to OK!.
With a little romantic encouragement from Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), Freddie and Anna decide to give their relationship another try and prepare to leave Walford to go travelling together.
On Monday (December 1), the Slaters get ready to say goodbye to Freddie, but the send-off doesn’t go smoothly. Lily (Lillia Turner) worries that Jean (Gillian Wright) is pushing herself too hard, while Kat (Jessie Wallace) tries to calm an increasingly anxious Zoe.
Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) gives an emotional speech about Freddie and Anna, but as the Square’s Christmas lights shine, a worrying message appears in The Vic’s window.
In a photo released ahead of Monday’s episode, Freddie is seen with his arm around Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Anna as they enjoy the festive atmosphere in Albert Square.
The trio appear to be soaking up the Christmas spirit while holding disposable cups. However, Freddie’s cup seems to show the name “Bobby” — a nod to his real name.
Sharp-eyed fans spotted the mistake and took to social media to share their amusement. On X, one viewer asked, “Does his cup say Bobby instead of Freddie? #EastEnders,” while another commented, “Another #EastEnders blunder.”
