“Coronation Street’s Carla ends her relationship with Lisa, leading to their split.”

Following the shocking news that Coronation Street’s Carla Connor is set to end her relationship with Lisa Swain, fans of ‘Swarla’ are eager to see if a reunion might be possible.
Vicky Myers, who plays Lisa, shared insight into her character’s thoughts about her future with Carla. She also hinted at trouble for Lisa’s ex, Becky Swain, who has been trying to come between the couple.
As Lisa grows closer to her colleague Kit Green, could he be the one to expose Becky’s dishonesty?
Vicky expressed hope that Lisa will eventually see through Becky’s schemes, stressing that, in Lisa’s eyes, Carla remains her true love.
She explained: “At this point she’s numb—there’s so much happening. She still cares for Becky, of course, but with Carla, she’s never felt anything like this. The relationship she has, the family bond, and the maturity that Carla has brought out in Betsy—it’s unlike anything she’s experienced before.” (Mirror)

“Lisa felt her family was complete, and then this bombshell hit and tore everything apart. Right now, she’s unsure how she even feels—she’s confused and heartbroken.
“There’s still hope, but what does she do about Becky? What does she do about Betsy? At the moment, Lisa feels like she can’t get anything right.”
When asked about a possible reunion with Becky, Vicky suggested it’s unlikely. She said: *“I think her love for Carla is too strong now. But Lisa has been manipulated by Costello, who told her how hard Becky tried to reach her and even blocked her attempts.
“We have to remember that, from Lisa’s perspective, there may be gaps in Becky’s story—but if she digs too deep, she could discover that 20 years of her life were based on lies. Her judgment is clouded by heartbreak over Carla and by being told by her superior that everything was above board and ordered from above.”*
However, doubts about Becky could still emerge. Vicky added: “There are definitely some doubts creeping in because Becky’s story doesn’t fully make sense, especially given how freely she’s moving about. We saw that on Halloween when Lisa asked, ‘Aren’t you supposed to be undercover? Aren’t you keeping a low profile?’”

“Obviously, these issues are a big question mark for Lisa—she’s a detective and used to be a very good one. But she’s also aware that the order came from above and knows how dangerous and notorious this gang is.”
She added: “Credit to Amy [Cudden, who plays Becky]—she’s doing an incredible job as a subtle, nuanced villain and is brilliant at winding people up. She’s a fantastic character to play, but everyone loves it when the villain finally gets their comeuppance, so let’s hope that happens.”
It seems more drama is coming for Lisa and Kit, who may team up to expose Becky. Vicky shared: *“There’s a lot left unsaid between them. Despite their interactions and the fact that Lisa is his superior, she sees a lot of herself in him and trusts his abilities as a detective.
“She actually enjoys his cheekiness, his directness, and his slight arrogance. He’s someone she can work with, even if they don’t always agree. Being part of her community, he’s someone she genuinely cares about.
“It’s great to watch them collaborate, but I also love their playful fights—the one-liners, the way they wind each other up. At the same time, she’s completely loyal to him, and I think he feels the same way.”*
