Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey are preparing for their grand white wedding, but in classic soap fashion, chaos quickly follows. A surprise death at the hen do shakes everyone, and Carl Webster’s affair with James Bailey risks coming to light after his fling with Abi Webster — the same affair that destroyed her marriage to Kevin Webster.
Last month, it was revealed that Gail Platt (Helen Worth) will make a brief return this festive season, following her emotional exit last Christmas after 50 years on the soap. A TV insider told The Sun: “Corrie bosses are keeping exact details under wraps, but it’s understood she uses Christmas Day to reconnect with her family. And the timing couldn’t be better, as the Platts are caught up in yet more drama they’ve had to face alone since their matriarch moved abroad. Fans are sure to be thrilled to see Gail back on the cobbles after wondering if she’d ever return.”
Viewers will also see the love triangle between Becky Swain, Lisa Swain and Carla Connor take an even darker turn.
