EastEnders viewers are now anticipating a Christmas Day killing after a shocking secret came to light.
EastEnders has thrown a major twist into Howie Danes’ storyline after Anthony Trueman exposed a secret that fans think could lead to disaster.
Earlier this week on the BBC soap, Howie (Delroy Atkinson) shocked Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) by proposing with a ring he had actually taken.
Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) quickly became suspicious, dug into the matter, and discovered the truth about the ring, pushing Howie to confess.
But things escalated when Howie did some digging of his own and uncovered that Anthony’s ex-wife, Sophie, had taken out a restraining order against him.
Although the pair agreed to keep each other’s scandals quiet, their truce didn’t last long.
**On Wednesday’s episode set in Walford (December 3), Anthony treated everyone to a crate of champagne as Howie and Kim prepared for their engagement celebration, according to OK!.
When Kim complimented Anthony on his generosity, Howie snapped back, hinting that Anthony wasn’t quite the saint he appeared to be and exposed the restraining order.
Kim was furious. Although she assured Howie she’d keep the secret to herself, her emotions took over, and she stormed to the surgery to confront Anthony.
Anthony then found himself hit with yet another truth bomb when Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) confessed that Howie had pressured him into giving up Patrick Trueman’s (Rudolph Walker) stolen cash after the assault earlier in the year.**
Anthony later confronted Howie with a furious outburst as their family gathered for the celebrations.
“He knew who attacked you, Dad!” Anthony shouted. “He blackmailed Oscar and Lauren, kept the money for himself, and Kim — that ring? It’s stolen. This so-called humble delivery man you all idolize is nothing but a deceitful, two-faced, thieving little weasel!”
With his secrets exposed, Howie could only stand there in shock, prompting EastEnders fans to speculate that he might seek deadly revenge on Anthony.
