EastEnders fans have been speculating that Oscar Branning could end up romantically involved with Jasmine’s twin brother when he makes his debut on the soap. The theory follows last night’s episode (Thursday, January 22), in which Jasmine opened up to Oscar about her missing sibling and their fractured past.
She explained that they were once very close, before being torn apart by circumstances beyond their control.
The implication is that the twins were separated during childhood, likely through the foster or adoption system in which they were raised.
With many viewers expecting Jasmine’s brother to arrive in Albert Square later this year, questions are already being raised about what his arrival could mean for Oscar. Could romance be on the cards for him?

Following last night’s revelations, viewers flocked to social media to share their theories about Jasmine’s twin. With her future in Walford now looking uncertain — especially after her lies about Max — some have begun to speculate that Oscar could instead find romance with her brother.
After all, Patrick did hint that Oscar was “with a Trueman now” during January’s flashforward episode.
“Oscar is clearly with the brother in the New Year’s flashforward,” one fan wrote on X.
Another agreed: “Oscar is definitely going to date the brother.”
A third viewer questioned: “Could this suggest Oscar ends up dating — or even marrying — Jasmine’s brother once her darker motives are finally exposed?”
