“Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher and wife Liz will be back on screens Sunday for the newest episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm.”

Kelvin Fletcher is set to share some heartfelt farm updates in the upcoming episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm, returning this Sunday.

In a particularly touching moment, Kelvin talks about his “best mate,” after whom he has named one of his cattle as a poignant tribute.

Kelvin and his wife, Liz, recently welcomed a bull into their herd, naming him Crowther in memory of the soap star’s close friend, who tragically passed away.

The programme then jumps forward four months, showing how much the bull has grown. Kelvin reflects: “He’s named after my best mate, who sadly passed away,” according to Cheshire Live.

“Every time I see Crowther, I think of my mate. Some of my best memories were spent with him by my side. If he were going to be an animal, he’d be a bull,” Kelvin shared.

He added, “I took a photo and sent it to his mum and dad. They were thrilled.”

Meanwhile, in the episode, Kelvin and Liz encountered challenges while trying to separate their cattle.

The ex-Emmerdale star explained that they were focused on parting the calves, Sonic and Ray, from their mothers: “We’re separating the herd to wean our young calves, Sonic and Ray, from their mums, Ruby and Cherry, as we’re eager to get them back in calf before the summer.”

Liz explained, “So those are the girls in the meadow, and now we’re going to try bringing the boys up. There are a few risks—if they hear the girls, the boys might just run to them. We need to try to make the transition into the paddock as smooth as possible, though nine times out of ten, it doesn’t go perfectly.”

Kelvin added, “Managing three males isn’t for the faint-hearted, but as our herd grows, we both need to handle them with confidence.”

Liz admitted, “I still feel a little nervous around the cows—just because of their sheer size.”

Just as they thought they had successfully moved the cattle, chaos ensued. Some of the animals had broken free, with mothers Ruby and Cherry noticing a gap in the fencing and rushing back to their calves.

After trying to fix the barrier, Kelvin and Liz decided to call it a day and leave the cattle together for another day.
