NETFLIX Coronation Street star’s two nepo-baby sons step onto the red carpet after starring in Oscar-tipped film – but who is their well-known mum?

The young actors – both under 21 – delivered stellar performances in the emerging historical drama, following buzz that the film’s lead stars are already being tipped for Oscar nominations.

Noah Jupe, 20, and Jacobi, 12, took on the roles of two key characters in the film — Hamnet and Hamlet.

Hamnet (played by Jacobi) is William Shakespeare’s son, who tragically dies from the plague.

Hamlet (portrayed by Noah), meanwhile, represents the play inspired by Shakespeare’s grief over his son’s death.

The brothers — sons of Coronation Street star Katy Cavanagh — stole the spotlight at this year’s BFI London Film Festival, which saw appearances from A-list names including George Clooney, Amanda Seyfried, and Julia Roberts.

Viewers at the gala screening of Hamnet were left emotional and captivated by the film, which is set for UK release on January 9, 2026.

Led by Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, the moving historical drama tells the story of Shakespeare and his wife Agnes as they welcome their son.

After his death, the narrative shifts focus to explore the more familiar tale of Hamlet.

Noah recently shared his excitement on Instagram, posting two photos of himself in costume — wearing a light blue tunic layered with a button-down shirt and tousled blonde hair.

“To die, to sleep, perchance to dream,” he captioned the post, adding: “NOAH JUPE is HAMLET in HAMNET.”

Fans of the rising star flooded the comments with praise for his look and anticipation for the upcoming film.

“I can’t wait,” one person wrote.

“He looks amazing!” added another.

This isn’t Noah’s first time in front of the camera — he’s previously starred in A Quiet Place and HBO’s The Undoing alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.

Katy Cavanagh, a beloved member of the Coronation Street cast since 2008, portrayed Julie Carp until 2015, when she left to explore new projects.

She later returned briefly earlier this year, from February to May, before her character’s emotional on-screen death from cancer.

Beyond Corrie, Katy’s acting career stretches back to the 1990s, with notable appearances in series such as Dalziel and Pascoe and The Cops.
