Emmerdale villain Celia Daniels could be on the verge of killing off a beloved soap icon, fans speculate.
Farmer Celia (Jaye Griffiths) made her first appearance on the ITV soap earlier this year—and she quickly stirred up trouble. As the neighbour of Moria Dingle (Natalie J. Robb), the two teamed up in business.
However, it wasn’t long before Celia’s darker, more sinister side came to light. In a shocking twist, viewers discovered that she is the mastermind behind a drug operation in the Dales, with Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) revealed to be her son.
The duo have since targeted and manipulated youngsters April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle). This week, Celia and Ray forced April to meet one of their clients, Callum, under horrifying circumstances.
While April was away, the scheming Celia enjoyed a date with April’s grandfather, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw). Meanwhile, April’s father, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), also dropped by for a drink with Celia—unaware of the horrifying situation she had forced his daughter into.
Back at Callum’s house, events took a shocking turn when he attacked April, ignoring her pleas to stop. In a desperate attempt to defend herself, April grabbed a vodka bottle and struck Callum over the head, seemingly killing him.
In Friday’s episode (October 31), a terrified April confessed to Ray and Celia about what had happened, leaving them both enraged. Celia instructed Ray to get rid of the body, while she returned to her date with April’s grandfather.
Later, when she was alone with April, Celia issued a terrifying warning about the consequences if April ever tried to escape—claiming that she now “owns” the teenager.
Celia revealed that they would play her twisted version of snog, marry, avoid, targeting the three most important men in April’s life: Marlon, Bob, and Dylan. In chilling moments, Celia told April: “My version is burn, stab, drown.”
Now, fans are predicting that Celia could actually go through with killing someone close to April. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one viewer wrote: “God, I hate Ray & Celia. I feel like breaking down the door to save poor April…”
Another added: “The way she told April that a family member could die if she doesn’t obey… so twisted!” A third suggested it could be Bob Hope: “She might kill Bob.” Someone else agreed: “He needs to get away from her, fast.” A fifth commented: “I always thought it was strange how close she’s getting to him. Definitely has something planned.”
