An Emmerdale actor appears to have revealed their plans regarding staying on the soap.

An Emmerdale star appears to have confirmed their exit from the soap following a cryptic remark.
Joe Absolom made his debut earlier this year as the villainous Ray Walters — and it didn’t take long for his character to stir up trouble in the village. As fans will know, he has pulled teenagers April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) into a dangerous world of crime, drugs, and child exploitation.
Initially, only Dylan was working for the dangerous Ray. However, April was soon drawn into the illicit activities and started taking on assignments for him after he decided she could be useful.
In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) not only ran the entire operation but was also Ray’s adoptive mother. Together, the cruel duo have been making life miserable for April and Dylan.

In recent episodes, April accidentally killed a man named Callum (Max Lohan), who had paid Ray and Celia to spend the night with her. Fearing for her life, April panicked and struck Callum over the head with a vodka bottle.
Meanwhile, it seems villain Ray’s time in the village might be drawing to a close, after actor Joe Absolom recently hinted at a possible exit.
On Wednesday (November 5), Joe appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about everything Emmerdale, with the discussion soon turning to his acting career.

Reflecting on his career, Joe commented: “I tend to drift between being employed and unemployed. But I’m pretty good at being unemployed, so it’s fine.”
He also mentioned that one of his children is interested in acting. Joe admitted: “Part of me hopes they choose a proper job, with things like Christmas parties and other fun experiences.”
Then, seemingly hinting at his current position on Emmerdale, he added: “Being a self-employed actor can be very dull!”

The former EastEnders actor also spoke about the uncertainty of work in the acting world. He explained: “Every time a job ends, you feel like you’ll never work again.
“Then you land another role and feel relieved for a while, but when that job finishes, you think, ‘I’m never going to work again.’ It’s a strange cycle I keep going through.”
Emmerdale has declined to comment.
