Since her 2023 debut, Cassie Plummer has stirred up plenty of drama on Coronation Street.

Cassie (Claire Sweeney) arrived on the cobbles in 2023 as Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) estranged mother, and it wasn’t long before she stirred up trouble.
Last year, viewers were left stunned when Cassie began poisoning Ken (Will Roache). The two formed an unlikely bond after Ken needed care following a fall.
In addition to drugging Ken, Cassie exploited him financially, even stealing his credit card to fund a series of extravagant purchases.

The truth eventually surfaced when Ken discovered her schemes and exposed Cassie, turning her into the cobbles’ most notorious resident.
Despite this, Ken eventually forgave her, much to the outrage of his daughter, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford). On top of that, Cassie has also begun a romantic relationship with Tracy’s former partner, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

Recently on the soap, tensions flared again between Tracy and Cassie after Cassie moved into Ken’s home and started working at Street Cars. The situation became particularly intense earlier this week when Cassie provoked Tracy by referencing her 2007 murder of Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward).

In Wednesday’s episode (November 5), their rivalry reached a new level when Cassie arrived at Ken’s house to find Tracy passed out on the sofa after drinking wine. A vindictive Cassie then set a tablecloth on fire, framing Tracy for the act.

A shocked Tracy was left confused, while Ken was furious at her for nearly setting the house on fire. Cassie, on the other hand, reveled in watching Tracy’s misfortune.

With all the tension between Tracy and Cassie, fans are predicting it could end in murder. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer wrote: “Bring back evil Tracy to take out Cassie.”

Another commented: “I think it’s heading that way.” A third agreed: “100%.” Meanwhile, another added: “Don’t forget, she has a history.”
