EastEnders viewers were shocked upon discovering the actual age of Micah Balfour, who plays Junior Knight.

EastEnders viewers have been left puzzled over Micah Balfour’s real age, having assumed he was much younger.
The actor joined Walford in May 2024 as Junior Knight, the estranged son of George (Colin Salmon), and quickly caused tension for his father.
Since arriving on the Square, the cunning businessman has been involved in numerous storylines, becoming infamous for his repeated affairs, including cheating on his wife Monique and getting involved with his ex-stepmother, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
In recent episodes, Junior was furious to learn that his vulnerable uncle Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) was being forced into dealing drugs for Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).

On Tuesday (November 4), Kojo courageously managed to save his close friend Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), who had been held captive by Okie for several weeks, according to OK!.
Kojo alerted his brother George and nephew Junior, and alongside Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), they discovered Harry unconscious in the street before hurrying him and Kojo to the hospital.

Amid all the family turmoil, it appears Junior is preparing to leave Walford permanently, planning a return to Dubai.
This choice comes as Junior admits how much he misses his young son Xavier, who is currently living in the United Arab Emirates with his mother.

Micah, 47, is reportedly “heartbroken” that EastEnders bosses have decided to write his character, Junior, out of the show, though he will not be killed off.

A BBC spokesperson later confirmed the departure to The Mirror, stating: “We can confirm Micah will be leaving EastEnders later this year, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

With Junior now caught up in Kojo’s drug storyline, viewers were surprised to learn that Micah is actually 47, having assumed he was much younger.

On Reddit, one fan remarked: “Kojo being 46 doesn’t sit right with me since the actor playing Kojo is 41, so he should have been slightly younger, around 38, the same age as his nephew Junior. Junior’s actor is 47 in real life.”

Putting aside the Kojo debate, some EastEnders fans were stunned to discover Micah’s real age, exclaiming: “Junior actor is 47? No way!” and adding, “He’s only a few years younger than my PARENTS! I thought he was my age (26).”

Another viewer commented: “Honestly, that’s the bigger shock for me—I’d have guessed late 20s or early 30s!”

“WHAT,” one fan reacted in disbelief, while another wrote: “Wait, he’s 46? I thought he was at least in his early 30s.”

“Junior actor is 47?! He really doesn’t look it,” remarked yet another astonished fan.
