Bradley Walsh’s Coronation Street character hasn’t appeared for nearly 20 years, but fans believe he might be making a comeback.

Coronation Street fans are convinced that Bradley Walsh could be returning to the cobbles after almost two decades.
Bradley first joined the long-running ITV soap in 2004 as Danny Baldwin, the son of show legend Mike (Johnny Briggs). For a time, he believed that Mike’s brother Harry was his father, up until Harry’s death.
Danny quickly made his mark when he arrived in Weatherfield to assist his dad — and his presumed “uncle” — with running Underworld. A firm favourite among viewers, the character was involved in several major storylines.
From scandalous affairs, including one with his son’s girlfriend Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), to shady business dealings, Danny’s time in Weatherfield was packed with drama.

However, in 2006, Bradley departed from the cobbles after two years on the show. His character, Danny, left Weatherfield for a fresh start in Spain after selling his shares of the factory to Paul Connor (Sean Gallagher).
Since then, Bradley has hardly stayed away from screens, appearing on shows such as The Chase, Blankety Blank, and Bradley and Barney: Breaking Dad.
Now, nearly 19 years after his last appearance on the soap, fans believe Bradley could be making a comeback.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one user commented: “A few years ago, Bradley Walsh said he wouldn’t rule out returning to the Street, so imagine what could happen if his character came back.”
Another wrote: “I’d love to see him return!” A third added: “Me too, even if it’s just for a short stint.” Reflecting similar thoughts, another fan said: “His character has ties to the Street (Adam is his half-brother), and I think it would be really popular.”

Bradley spoke about the possibility of returning to Coronation Street in 2014 during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.
“I don’t know,” he said. “You never know the circumstances, you never know what’s going to happen, you never know what’s around the corner — except more corners.”
He also shared that Bill Tarmey, who played Jack Duckworth, had advised him not to turn his back on the role. Bradley recalled: “The great Bill Tarmey told me, ‘Always remember, lad, don’t get killed off — it’ll be your pension.’”
