Lucy Fallon, best known for playing Bethany Platt on Coronation Street, has rushed her 13-month-old child to hospital after describing the situation as a “dramatic illness.”

Lucy Fallon has revealed she rushed her baby daughter to hospital. The actress, who shares three-year-old Sonny and 13-month-old Nancy with her fiancé Ryan Ledson, updated fans about the worrying ordeal on social media.
Lucy, who has portrayed Bethany Platt on Coronation Street on and off since 2015, explained that she had been quiet online this week due to the health scare. She posted a black-and-white photo of Nancy, whom she welcomed at the start of last year.
Writing on Instagram, she said: “Radio silence this week from me as Nancy was admitted to hospital on Monday. She loves a dramatic illness this chick!”
Although Lucy did not disclose the exact nature of the illness, she reassured followers by adding: “She’s doing much better now.”

It comes just days after Lucy Fallon opened up about previously reaching “rock bottom” with her mental health. Earlier this week, she admitted there was a time when she “couldn’t see a way out.”
Speaking on Secure The Insecure, hosted by Johnny Seifert, she shared: “From quite young, I’ve always struggled. I’ve always been quite insecure. I was at the absolute lowest I’ve ever felt, and I really, really struggled.
“I went through a very difficult period with my mental health towards the end of 2020 and spent around five weeks in The Priory because things had become so overwhelming. I couldn’t see a way out of how I was feeling.”

Lucy explained that her family ultimately had to step in to ensure she received the support she needed. She said: “I ended up having to go into hospital, and from that point other people became involved — my mum, my sisters, and people I’d worked with before.
“It felt like outside voices were telling me, ‘You need serious help now. It’s gone a bit too far.’
“I really didn’t want to go. Even when I arrived, I absolutely didn’t want to be there.”
However, despite her initial reluctance, Lucy later said she began to “feel safe” after spending a few weeks at The Priory, the well-known mental health and rehabilitation facility often associated with celebrity patients.

She said: “At the beginning, I didn’t feel as though I was unwell enough to be there. It all felt unfamiliar and a little strange — like I wasn’t sure why I even needed to be there.
“But after a few weeks, I started to adjust. In fact, after the first week, I found myself settling in. I felt quite safe. I met several people there who I’m still in touch with from time to time.”
