Coronation Street fans have been left stunned after hearing Becky Swain’s real accent for the very first time.
Becky (Amy Cudden) made her debut in September as the supposedly deceased wife of Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). The police officer was believed to have died in 2021 after being struck by a getaway car while chasing an assailant.
Following her ‘death’, Lisa and their daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) tried to move forward while still grieving their devastating loss. Earlier this year, Lisa became engaged to Carla Connor (Alison King), and everything appeared to be falling into place for the happy couple.
However, it was later revealed that Becky is actually alive. When she reappeared, she told a shocked Lisa that she ‘had to die’ in order to enter witness protection after an undercover operation went wrong.
Since then, manipulative Becky has made it her mission to win her family back and drive a wedge between Lisa and Carla. But things took a turn last week when Becky finally succeeded in coming between the couple.
Fed up with the situation, Carla became furious that Lisa still couldn’t see Becky’s true colours and decided to move out of their shared home — while Becky has now moved in.
