Coronation Street spoilers for next week reveal that a beloved resident of the cobbles decides to plan their own funeral.
Coronation Street is set for dramatic scenes next week as one character grows anxious about his medical test results after a recent health scare.
In this week’s episodes, Todd Grimshaw opens up to Billy Mayhew, revealing he has a hospital appointment to be tested for bowel cancer but hasn’t told his boyfriend, Theo Silverton, not wanting to worry him further.
Billy offers to accompany him, and Todd promises he’ll tell Theo once he knows the outcome.
However, in next week’s spoilers, Todd becomes increasingly concerned about his results and confides in George Shuttleworth that he’s thinking of making arrangements for his own funeral — leaving George deeply unsettled.
Later, after speaking with Christina Boyd, she urges George to check Todd’s emails, where he discovers a message from the hospital confirming an appointment.
Christina encourages George to accompany Todd to the hospital and offer his support. In the waiting room, Todd appreciates having George by his side as he goes in to see the doctor.
Meanwhile, over at the Bistro, Gary Windass and Theo meet with Peter to discuss a possible business deal.
When Theo spots Summer Spellman and Billy, he approaches them and admits he’s worried about Todd, suspecting that he’s keeping something from him.
Billy becomes visibly uncomfortable before receiving a call from Todd, prompting him to step outside to hear better. At the next table, a manipulative Theo hides his anger and orders a round of shots.
Later in the week, after getting his results, a hungover Todd returns home — only to face Theo’s fury.
As Todd apologises to Theo for spending the night at Billy’s, insisting that nothing happened, Pete suddenly emerges from the bathroom, leaving Todd shocked.
Unapologetic Theo lashes out, accusing Todd of sneaking around behind his back for days.
This prompts Todd to reveal the truth about his health scare, but when Theo tries to twist the situation and place the blame on him, Todd finally loses his temper and tells Theo to pack his bags.
Later, at the Rovers, Glenda Shuttleworth hosts a Mr & Mrs competition. Theo arrives and tells Todd they need to have a conversation, but Todd refuses to engage. As Theo sits down, Todd grabs Glenda’s clipboard, a plan beginning to take shape…
