Becky Swain continues to interfere in Lisa Swain and Carla Connor’s relationship, ultimately causing a heartbreaking split. Before this, a chilling death threat raises alarm, and soon after, someone suffers a brutal attack.
The drama begins next week as spoilers reveal Becky is deliberately coming between Lisa and Carla, determined to win back her ex. She shocks her daughter Betsy by revealing she has received a funeral wreath accompanied by a threatening note.
As Betsy panics, Becky meets with DI Costello, who previously threatened her life. However, she doesn’t seem to suspect him; instead, she warns her former boss that the sender of the wreath means business and vows to uncover the truth.
But trouble is on the horizon, as Becky photographs a group of teenage girls—one of whom appears to be Costello’s daughter. The revelation shakes Costello, and soon after, he receives a call from Becky.
So, will Becky finally reveal her true intentions, and how will DI Costello respond? With Kit Green eavesdropping, will he uncover the truth? The following day, Lisa is on her way to meet Carla for lunch when she discovers Becky drunk.
Becky has once again orchestrated chaos, aiming to sabotage Lisa and Carla’s plans. Lisa takes her home to try and sober her up. Becky admits she’s been drinking to numb the pain of losing everything.
When Lisa suggests she takes a shower, Becky later comes downstairs wearing Lisa’s bathrobe—just as a stood-up Carla walks into the house. Furious, Carla demands Becky leave immediately.
Lisa, however, fails to support Carla, showing that Becky has successfully manipulated her. The confrontation leaves Carla and Lisa at odds, and soon a heartbroken Carla reaches her breaking point.
She decides to end her relationship and soon tells Lisa that it’s over between them. Lisa is left stunned, but will the split be permanent? Meanwhile, Costello disappears, only for it to later be revealed that he has been brutally attacked.
Kit becomes increasingly suspicious of Becky and, worried, warns Lisa that Becky might be responsible for recent events. But is he right, and how will Lisa respond?
Elsewhere on the ITV soap next week, Carl Webster continues to cruelly manipulate his sister Debbie Webster amid her dementia diagnosis. He tampers with an invoice from Tracy Barlow’s flower shop, making it appear as though Debbie has already paid for a service she hasn’t.
Tracy is furious and lashes out at Debbie, leaving her confused and in tears. When Debbie admits to Ronnie that her symptoms seem to be worsening, he suggests she consider giving up work.
