“Vinta Morgan, who plays Ronnie Bailey on Coronation Street, is a regular on the ITV soap, but fans might be surprised to learn he has a famous parent.”

Vinta Morgan has quickly become a fan favourite on Coronation Street as Ronnie Bailey, but it seems talent runs in his family.
Ronnie arrived on the cobbles in 2021, moving closer to his brother Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), niece Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), and nephews James (Jason Callender) and Michael (Ryan Russell).
Since then, he’s been involved in several major storylines, most notably his romance with Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney). The pair tied the knot earlier this year, but married life hasn’t been smooth sailing.
Debbie – who is living with dementia – is currently behind bars after pleading guilty to dangerous driving that led to the death of local vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank). In reality, Debbie is covering for Carl (Jonathan Howard), her secret son.

As for Ronnie actor Vinta Morgan, he’s no stranger to the screen. The actor has previously appeared in shows such as The Bill, Ted Lasso, Doctors, Silent Witness, and even rival soap EastEnders.
Talent clearly runs in the family, as both of his parents, Tony and Avis, were singers in their day. Vinta’s father enjoyed success with Tony Morgan and the Mussel Power Band, releasing two singles.

“My dad had this reputation for being the one with the snaky hips, dancing across the floor,” Vinta recently told the Mirror. He added, “But they both gave it up to provide for the family. He became a chef, and my mum trained as an occupational therapist.”
Outside of Coronation Street, Vinta lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Nina and their four children: Abisah, 18; Soumi, 15; Zain, 12; and Anthony, three.
He first met Nina in their early thirties on a train to work in London. He told the publication, “I thought she was nice – well-intentioned and kind-hearted – but at the time it was just platonic.”

Ten years later, after Vinta moved back to Hertfordshire from Kent, they ran into each other again. He explained, “We started talking properly at the gym and really connected. When you meet someone in your 40s, you know what you want in life.”
Vinta and Nina’s friendship soon blossomed into romance, and their relationship grew stronger over time. The couple married seven years later, in 2022, just 13 days before the birth of their son.
