EastEnders viewers are sure they’ve identified who’s targeting Zoe Slater, and it’s someone well-known.
EastEnders fans are convinced they’ve figured out who’s been stalking Zoe Slater, even though the show hinted it might be Jean Slater.
As viewers know, Zoe (Michelle Ryan) has been the target of a persistent campaign of harassment over the past few weeks, showing no signs of stopping. Her beloved cat, Mini Mo, was also caught up in the sinister plot, disappearing only to later be found under Zoe’s bed in a carrier bag.
Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) was doubtful about his step-daughter’s claims of being harassed, which created friction with his wife, Kat (Jessie Wallace).
Yet another disturbing event—a threatening message spray-painted on the door of the barrel store—left Zoe, Alfie, and Kat shaken.
In Thursday’s episode (November 11), Zoe became determined to identify her stalker after spotting a tarnished earring near the pub’s entrance, according to OK!.
She tried to get Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) involved in investigating, but his disinterest pushed Zoe to take action herself.
Convinced that Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) might be responsible, Zoe broke into her home and searched through her jewellery box for a matching earring. However, she was caught in the act by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).
Later that night, the culprit seemingly came forward to Kat and Alfie, claiming the earring belonged to them—it turned out to be Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
However, EastEnders fans are theorizing that Jean is just a red herring and that the true stalker could be Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf), whose comeback to Walford has already been announced.
Zoe and Sam have a long-standing feud dating back to their shared connection to Den Watts’ (Leslie Grantham) murder in February 2005.
One viewer took to social media to voice their suspicion: “SAM MITCHELL HAS TO BE ZOE’S STALKER COS WHY ELSE SHE RETURNING @bbceastenders #EastEnders.”
Another fan added: “If Sam and Chrissie are returning, maybe one of them is the one targeting Zoe? #eastenders.”
A third fan commented: “Not that I really follow Zoe’s endless stalker plot, but it has to be Sam Mitchell since she’s returning soon anyway #eastenders.”
Another viewer added: “I’m convinced Sam Mitchell is behind Zoe’s stalking. But if that’s true, how did Jean’s earring end up outside the barrel store? Maybe Stacey had it the night the Vic blew up, and Jean was searching for it for her #EastEnders.”
