Emmerdale fans are predicting a pregnancy twist for Belle Dingle, though her boyfriend Kammy Hadiq isn’t the father.
Belle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) has been a fixture on the ITV soap since her on-screen birth in 1998. As the daughter of iconic characters Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox), she quickly became a fan favourite.
Over the years, Belle has been at the center of several major storylines—from accidentally causing her best friend’s death to a shocking affair with the village doctor, her life in the Dales has been full of drama.
More recently, last year, Belle endured domestic abuse at the hands of her twisted husband, Tom King (James Chase). For over a year, Tom made her life a nightmare through gaslighting and abuse.
Thankfully, Belle’s nightmare ended when Tom was convicted of assault and controlling and coercive behavior, receiving a three-year prison sentence.
Earlier this year, following the confirmation of her divorce, Belle decided to return to dating and downloaded a dating app. However, while using Belle’s phone, the cheeky Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) accidentally swiped right on Kammy’s (Shebz Miah) profile.
At first, Belle felt embarrassed, but she and Kammy quickly formed a friendship in the days that followed. Eventually, they decided to take a chance on each other and began dating.
This week, the couple moved their relationship forward when Belle told Kammy she was ready to become intimate with him.
With Belle and Kammy’s romance now blooming, fans are already speculating that a pregnancy twist could be on the horizon. True to classic soap drama, many predict that Kammy may not be the father.
“How long until Belle gets pregnant?” wondered one user on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page. Another added: “I’d love that, I’m really enjoying Belle and Kammy together.”
A third fan commented: “Same here, but I doubt it will be smooth sailing. Maybe a ‘who’s the dad?’ storyline?” Another wrote: “Probably, this is soap territory after all.” One more chimed in: “That would really break Kammy’s heart.”
