Sam Dingle decides to quit his job in Emmerdale next week, and spoilers reveal that his wife, Lydia Dingle, is far from impressed with her husband’s bold move.

Things are heating up in Emmerdale village.
Sam Dingle (James Hooton) quits his job at Home Farm next week after finally standing up to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
But with the bills piling up, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) urges Sam to swallow his pride and get his job back.
Joe initially refuses to rehire him, but Kim Tate (Claire King) eventually steps in.
Later, Lydia begins to question her loyalty to Kim after being unimpressed with her stingy raffle prize donation and witnessing Joe’s poor treatment of Sam.
Meanwhile, Sam sets up a dodgy shoot on Home Farm land to earn some extra cash behind Kim’s back. Lydia agrees to help by keeping Kim distracted at the Christmas Fayre — completely unaware that Kim has a surprise in store for her.

At the shoot, Lydia struggles to keep everything under wraps while Kim insists she attend the Fayre — and Oliver’s shooting party is demanding food. Meanwhile, Sam starts to panic that Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) has spotted what they’re up to.
Kim then sends Lydia to the pub, where Lydia’s dreams come true as she’s surprised with a Jason Donovan concert. The pop legend is genuinely touched by the warm Woolpack welcome from the villagers.
However, after Vanessa alerts her to the suspicious activity, Kim heads off to investigate the dodgy shoot — and is later discovered grievously injured in the woods.

Unable to move her leg, a helpless Kim is left stranded in the woods, waiting for someone to find her — or for death to catch up with her.
Elsewhere in the village, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) is delighted to discover that a bank account has been opened in her name containing £15,000. But her excitement is quickly crushed when Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) warns her that spending the money could implicate her in someone else’s fraudulent scheme.
Later, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) is alarmed when Jacob mentions Kerry’s mysterious bank account. When Pollard finally gets Kerry alone, she’s left speechless as he reveals that he’s the one who put the money there — he is her secret benefactor.

However, Pollard is taken aback by Kerry’s furious reaction to him using her to funnel tax-free money to Jacob without her consent.
Despite this, he feels slightly encouraged when a small thaw appears between them, especially after he reminds her of the difficult situation Jacob would face if Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) were to pass away.
Before long, Kerry and Pollard are firmly back in cahoots, with Kerry making it clear that if he ever needs her help again, all he has to do is ask first.
