A beloved Emmerdale actor was far from happy to learn they won’t be appearing in next year’s Corriedale episode.

An Emmerdale legend has spoken out about their disappointment at being left out of the upcoming Coronation Street crossover episode.
Early next year, in a first for British soaps, a special hour-long instalment titled Corriedale will unite characters from both shows in a celebration of the genre.
Set to air in January, the unique episode promises “lasting consequences for everyone involved,” with the Manchester and Yorkshire worlds of the two soaps brought together in an “ingenious” way.
While plot details remain tightly guarded, it has been confirmed that Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Coronation Street’s Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) will both play major roles in the unfolding drama.

This week, an explosive new trailer dropped, revealing the chaotic aftermath of a multi-car crash on a dark, stormy country road near Hotten.
In the shadows, frantic cries for help ring out as emergency crews rush to the scene. Fans of both soaps will instantly recognise the voices of David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd), Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) and Aaron.

But it appears that one Emmerdale icon isn’t exactly thrilled about being left out of the Corriedale special.
During a recent appearance on Loose Women, Paddy Kirk actor Dominic Brunt was asked about the upcoming episode.
Dominic — who has been part of Emmerdale since 1997 — responded: “I’m absolutely fuming because I’m not in it, and I dropped some pretty heavy hints that I wanted to be!”
He went on to say: “I’ve seen the scripts and they’re incredible. It was surreal having all the Corrie cast in our canteen — like Claire Sweeney stealing your chips! But honestly, it’s going to be amazing. It’ll be a really, really good episode.”

In another twist for the Corriedale special, viewers have been invited to vote on which cross-soap pairing they want to see interact in a scene. Several combinations have been shortlisted, but only one will make it to air on the night.
Emma Atkins is set to film a scene with Alison King, while James Hooton has confirmed he’ll be teaming up with Andy Whyment. Nicola Wheeler will also be appearing alongside David Neilson.
It’s additionally been revealed that Mike Parr will share a scene with Kate Ford, who plays Coronation Street icon Tracy Barlow.
