The Emmerdale couple previously faced a turning point in their relationship over starting a family, but now it looks like a baby could be on the way.

An Emmerdale couple may soon be preparing to welcome a baby to the village — but that’s not the only dramatic development unfolding in the Dales.
In Thursday’s episode (February 19), Dawn Taylor and Joe Tate appeared to take a significant step toward building a family together, raising the possibility that a new arrival could soon shake things up. Meanwhile, hints were dropped that a former couple might find their way back to each other — despite one of them already being married — suggesting a potential affair could be brewing.
On Wednesday’s episode, Dawn confided in her new fiancé Joe that she believed she might be pregnant, just weeks after their engagement. However, during Thursday’s show, she took a pregnancy test and discovered she wasn’t expecting Joe’s baby after all — a result that clearly left her disappointed.

Dawn had previously told Joe she didn’t want to have a baby with him, which led Joe to worry that she didn’t see him as father material. However, she was surprised by the unexpected sense of “loss” she felt when the pregnancy test came back negative.
That reaction made her realize she may actually want to have a child with Joe after all. Joe was pleased to discover they were finally on the same wavelength. Dawn ultimately suggested they “let nature take its course and hope for the best.”
Elsewhere, Joe encouraged Graham Foster to try to patch things up with his former partner, Rhona Goskirk. The complication, of course, is that Rhona is currently married to Marlon Dingle. Back in 2020, Rhona had even planned to run away with Graham — before his life was tragically cut short.

A few weeks ago, viewers learned that Graham was actually alive, having staged his own death. Now that he’s returned and explained himself to Rhona, it’s obvious his feelings for her never faded.
Joe encouraged Graham not to let Marlon stand in his way and urged him to fight for Rhona. When Graham finally found her, he opened up completely, confessing that he still loved her and wanted a future together.
His heartfelt declaration caught Rhona off guard. However, she made it clear that she no longer shared those feelings. Rhona insisted she had no intention of leaving her husband, Marlon, and told Graham that their chapter was closed. She later confided in her mother, Mary Goskirk, about what had happened.
In an unfortunate twist, Marlon walked in at the worst possible moment and overheard everything. Furious, he vowed revenge against Graham for threatening his marriage. Graham may soon regret putting his heart on the line.
Still, could Rhona eventually realize that Graham is the one she truly loves? If that happens, it would spark a shocking scandal — one that could completely shatter her marriage.
