“Emmerdale confirmed a shocking death on Tuesday, leaving some villagers reeling.”

Emmerdale has confirmed another death that has left Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) utterly shocked.
Fans of the ITV soap will remember that Robert returned to the village earlier this year after being released on parole following a successful appeal.
He had previously been convicted of murdering rapist Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie); however, new evidence suggested that Lee may have died from a brain injury caused by his brother.
After his release, Robert tried to rebuild his life and even intervened to stop Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) ill-fated wedding to John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), who is also his half-brother.
Robert also revealed that his time in prison had been extremely challenging and had negatively affected his mental health, though he did not mention his marriage to Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill).

Kev has also been released from prison, where he served time for armed robbery, and the couple renewed their vows last week as they settled back in the village.
On Tuesday (November 11), Robert and Kev returned from their honeymoon, and Kev insisted that they should now live together. The suggestion to move in with Kev left Robert completely stunned.
Robert believes Kev is suffering from a terminal heart condition and expects that, after Kev’s death, he will reunite with Aaron. However, he doesn’t know that Kev’s condition is controllable with medication, and he isn’t in any immediate danger.

Robert later confided in Aaron about Kev’s plans to move in together, assuring him that the situation would soon be sorted, as Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) would never approve the new arrangements.
He had briefed his sister beforehand, and when Kev arrived, Victoria made it clear that she needed to consider her son Harry’s wellbeing, insisting that now wasn’t the right time for him to move in.
Surprisingly, Kev seemed unfazed by Victoria’s objections, as he had some shocking news for Robert — someone had been murdered in prison.
As the episode came to a close, Robert shared the news of the death with Aaron before admitting that he had been keeping a secret.

Aaron had believed that his husband, Robert, was serving his prison sentence on the Isle of Wight; however, Robert has now revealed that he was transferred back to Hotten during the pandemic.
The revelation prompts Robert to reflect on his time behind bars, with a flashback airing on Wednesday (November 12) exploring his romantic relationship with Kev.
For the full story behind the death, Emmerdale is available to stream now on ITVX.
