Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve noticed a budding new romance in the village
Emmerdale fans believe they’ve spotted a surprising new romance developing for Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson).
As viewers of the ITV soap will recall, Vinny was assaulted by a man named Mike after the two met online. Vinny had been seeking support while coming to terms with his sexuality, following an awkward moment when he tried to kiss his friend Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).
After being blackmailed by Mike for a large amount of money, Vinny eventually found the courage to face him in court. However, it was during the trial that Vinny’s new wife, Gabby (Rosie Bentham), learned about his confusion regarding his sexuality.
The revelation led to a fiery confrontation between the newlyweds, during which Gabby admitted to cheating on Vinny while on holiday in Portugal. Despite the betrayal and heartache, the pair decided to try to make their marriage work.
On Tuesday (October 7), Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) encouraged Vinny to talk about everything that’s been happening, and the two shared a chat over coffee in the café.
Vinny opened up about his feelings for his wife, Gabby, while Lewis listened carefully — though their conversation was soon cut short.
“I want Gabby,” Vinny told him. “I’d never jeopardize my marriage again.”
Lewis supported Vinny’s commitment to Gabby but gently reminded him that his feelings might evolve over time.
The two men shook hands before sharing a friendly hug — just as Gabby walked in and instantly stormed back out.
The touching moment between Vinny and Lewis has fueled speculation among Emmerdale fans, who are convinced the pair could soon develop a romantic connection.
One fan posted on X: “Vinny and Lewis couple incoming #Emmerdale,” while another commented: “Vinny and Lewis actually make a great match.”

“Linny — just a joke, in case it wasn’t obvious, ha,” joked another on Reddit.
Another viewer commented: “The sooner Vinny and Gabby separate or get a divorce, the better. I can’t stand watching fake relationships or marriages drag on for ages.”
