Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins revealed in August that she is expecting her first baby, only a few months after tying the knot.
Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has received an outpouring of love and congratulations after announcing her marriage to her new husband.
The actress rose to fame after joining the ITV soap in 2006 as Victoria Sugden, a role that has seen her at the centre of many major storylines.
Away from the village, Isabel revealed in August that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Adam Whitehead — just a few months after the couple tied the knot.
The pair exchanged vows in April during a fairy-tale ceremony at the Castlefield Rooms in Manchester city centre, and their joy continued to grow as Isabel shared her pregnancy news later that summer.
On Instagram, the soap actress posted a photo of herself and Adam holding their baby scan, writing: “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… Baby Whitehead.”
This week, Isabel was met with more love and support from fans as she marked a special marriage milestone during a romantic getaway. She shared a series of adorable photos from their trip to Carden Park in Cheshire.
Isabel captioned the post: “Celebrating six months of marriage and being 24 weeks pregnant — the dreamiest little pre-baby escape @cardenpark.”
She added: “Enjoyed a pampering session with a pregnancy massage and facial, followed by a delicious afternoon tea. Feeling so relaxed and grateful for such a special stay.”
Fans and Emmerdale co-stars quickly flooded the comments with love. Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, wrote: “Very cute.” One fan commented: “Such a lovely couple and soon to be a beautiful family.”
Another follower shared: “So happy everything’s going well! Can’t believe it’s already been six months — sounds like a wonderful, relaxing time. Can’t wait to see you as a family of three. Blessings to you both.”
This follows Isabel hinting that she plans to take a temporary break from Emmerdale to focus on motherhood.
Speaking to The Mirror in August, the ITV star said: “I will miss it. I love everyone there, but after 19 years on the show, I feel like I’ve achieved what I wanted and really focused on my career.”
She added: “Now it’s time to dedicate myself to being a mum, and that feels like the right step. But don’t worry — there’s always FaceTime, so they won’t forget me!”
