Kelly Brook touched down in Australia, apparently for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity, but joked that her real reason was to visit her “auntie Sheila.”

The first celebrity for the new series of I’m A Celebrity appears to have been confirmed as they touched down in Australia, claiming they were visiting their “auntie Sheila.”
Kelly Brook arrived in Australia today to join the ITV show, saying: āIām going to miss my dog Teddy, my husband Jeremy, and my food more than anything.ā
The 45-year-old landed at Brisbane Airport ahead of the showās premiere next Sunday.
She playfully added: āI havenāt seen my auntie Sheila in ages, so Iām really looking forward to it, and itās lovely that everyoneās so excited for me.ā
When asked about her feelings toward creepy-crawlies, Kelly joked that there might be some in her ārelativeāsā garden, adding: āI donāt know what you mean, Iām just visiting a distant cousin.ā

āI canāt wait to go surfing. Like I said, Iām excited to see my distant cousin who I havenāt seen in ages⦠and of course the koalas and kangaroos. So much to look forward to.ā
When asked about sleeping under the stars, she quipped: āIām hoping thereās a spare room for me. Not too sure about that.ā
She described herself as an āAustralian sunsetā in her yellow and orange dress, though she was soon shielded by an umbrella from the light rain.
Joking about the weather, she added: āIs it raining? I seem to bring the weather wherever I go.ā

Her decision to take part in the jungle marks a reversal from her previous stance. Back in 2018, she said there were āa millionā things she would rather do than appear on the show.
At the time, she explained: āI donāt want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles and all the other things they make you eat on there. Even if I had a huge tax bill and had to pay it urgently, I still wouldnāt do it.ā
In a 2022 interview, she reiterated her reluctance, saying: āItās never appealed to me. Never ever ever. Like when Mark Wright asks if Iād ever do it, I just canāt imagine anything worse. But he loved itāhe absolutely loved I’m A Celebrity. It opened up so many doors for him and gave him countless opportunities. He also made some amazing memories from being on the show.ā
Other celebrities heading to Australia include Emmerdaleās Lisa Riley, former model Kelly Brook, ex-EastEnder Shona McGarty, YouTuber Morgan Burtwistle (Angryginge), musician Martin Kemp, comedian Ruby Wax, TV presenter Alex Scott, and Jack Osbourne. They are expected to be joined by comedian Eddie Kadi, rapper Aitch, and presenter Vogue Williams.
ITV is set to officially reveal the full line-up next week, although two participants will be kept under wraps as late arrivals.
Ant and Dec will return to host the series, which celebrates its 25th year. A source close to the show revealed: āProducers are expected to pull out all the stops to make the 25th series the most memorable yet.ā
