General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be out of action for several months this Spring, and Burton’s confirmation of his hiatus has fans in a frenzy, speculating about the fate of Stone Cold.
Naturally, many are worried that Jason might be killed off once again — a storyline that longtime viewers are growing weary of. But, of course, he can’t return from the dead if he doesn’t “die” first — at least, that seems to be the rule.
With Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) continuing her father’s research on Spoon Island, could it fall to her to bring Jason back as part of the ongoing experiment she and her brother are involved in?
What Is Cold Fusion Anyway?
It seems that Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) Cold Fusion project might involve reviving people from the dead. Sort of.
We don’t yet know if anyone is truly dead. Britt made it clear that she believed she was dying that New Year’s Eve in her mother’s arms — but Faison had other plans. Somehow, he managed to save her near-death state and bring her back. It’s possible he did something similar to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) when Faison shot him.
GH Spoilers: Britt and Nathan May Not Be the Same
Just because Nathan and Britt are back from the “dead” doesn’t mean they are who they claim to be — or even who they believe themselves to be. And there’s no guarantee they’ll stay the way they are.
The true scope of the research remains a mystery. Sidwell and his associates could potentially have full control over them — and might exercise it whenever they choose.
Nathan could shift from his loving, gentle nature to a complete monster, much like his father. Britt, meanwhile, could revert to her more scheming, dangerous tendencies.
Master Manipulation
Some fans predict that Jason may go missing — likely when he heads to Wyndemere in search of Britt’s medication.
If there’s a way to control the victim, Britt may hesitate to “save” Jason from this “death,” knowing he could return under Sidwell’s control.
Still, she may end up being the only one capable of rescuing him from this fate, tasked with bringing him back just as she and Nathan were revived.
