General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal that Eva LaRue’s (Natalia Ramirez) time on CSI: Miami, initially a career highlight, unexpectedly became the start of a 12-year nightmare.
The actress was targeted by a stalker who harassed her under the persona of “Freddy Krueger” from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Eva Didn’t Know Her Stalker – Until Now
From 2007 to 2019, LaRue had no idea who was behind the harassment. Today, she’s reclaiming her narrative through the two-part Paramount+ docuseries My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.
The ordeal took a heavy toll on her mental and physical health. “I developed a rash—my eyelashes were falling out,” she told Soaps.com. “I was a mess.” Despite this, LaRue managed to turn the terrifying experience into a story of resilience and triumph.
A Frightening Incident Abroad
LaRue recalls a significant moment in her journey when she traveled to Italy for a summer break from CSI: Miami with her daughter, Kaya. The trip was meant to be relaxing, but on the second night, their home was broken into at 3 a.m. The intruder entered the bedroom where she and her daughter slept. Later revealed to be an “inside job,” the incident still left LaRue terrified that her stalker had followed her overseas.
Instead of letting fear control her life, LaRue turned to her faith and described the experience as transformative—she became “fearless” rather than “fearful.”
Playing Natalia Was a Challenge
LaRue also opens up about her time on General Hospital, where she portrayed the villainous Natalia Rogers-Ramirez. “She’s terrible,” LaRue admits. “I had no idea how nasty she would become. It was a tough role, especially after playing Maria Santos on All My Children.” The character drew strong audience dislike, making the role even more demanding.
Natalia was written out of Port Charles in early July. LaRue explains, “They tried to redeem her, but it wasn’t fast enough or thorough enough. Eventually, they decided, ‘Yeah, this isn’t working.’ I thought, ‘Yeah, it really isn’t.’”
