In the November 24 episode, Vaughn paid the price for pursuing a relationship with Josslyn behind Brennan’s back.

Brennan had clearly been monitoring Vaughn closely and knew exactly what had been going on between him and Joss. Since Vaughn ignored Brennan’s rules, Brennan decided to show him exactly what happens when he steps out of line.

Two agents physically restrained Vaughn and dragged him off, strongly suggesting he’s being removed from Port Charles—at least temporarily. Chris McKenna opened up about Brennan’s choice in an interview with Soap Opera Digest.

Brennan Warned Them, So McKenna Saw This Coming

McKenna explained he wasn’t surprised by Brennan’s decision since the couple had been warned repeatedly. Brennan even allowed them an extra day in Australia for some emotional closure.

Despite the warnings, Vaughn and Josslyn continued sneaking around, leaving Brennan no choice but to escalate the situation.

This is sure to cause tension once Josslyn learns Brennan is responsible for Vaughn’s disappearance. “As for how this affects his dynamic with Josslyn,” McKenna said, “he’s tried enforcing the rules many times, but nothing has worked. This time, she might finally realize you don’t cross Brennan!”

Vaughn Could Be Hidden Away in a WSB Facility

McKenna noted that Brennan sometimes bends rules himself, but he’s still Josslyn’s superior — “and she’ll figure that out fast once her boyfriend is gone!” Vaughn may very well be held in a WSB facility if Brennan is sticking to protocol — or relocated somewhere else purely to shut down his romance with Josslyn.

Either way, Brennan wants Josslyn focused solely on her mission, not on her relationship. This ordeal will likely serve as a harsh lesson about following orders — and what happens when she doesn’t.

Josslyn is expected to react explosively and demand answers about Vaughn’s disappearance, but Brennan isn’t required to tell her anything. He may simply insist she stay on task and forget about Vaughn altogether.
