Coronation Street’s Cait Fitton, known for playing Lauren Bolton, has honoured a loved one with a heartfelt tribute after their passing.
Beloved Coronation Street actress Cait Fitton has posted a deeply emotional tribute online following a devastating loss.
Cait rose to prominence portraying Lauren Bolton on the ITV soap after joining in 2022. As the fiery and fiercely loyal teen, Lauren has been at the centre of several major storylines.
From being raised by her far-right extremist father Reece Bolton (Scott Anson), to ultimately killing her abuser Joel Deering (Calum Lill), her journey in Weatherfield has been nothing short of dramatic.
Away from the cobbles, Cait regularly keeps her 60.7k Instagram followers updated on her everyday life — sharing behind-the-scenes Corrie photos as well as sun-drenched holiday snaps.
This week, Cait honoured her late father with a touching birthday tribute. On Tuesday (November 18), she shared an old photo on her Instagram Story showing her as a child standing beside her dad.
She wrote alongside the picture: “Happy heavenly birthday, Dad. It’ll be eight years this year <3 Sending you so much love up there.”
This follows Cait recently marking her third anniversary on Coronation Street earlier this month. She took to Instagram to post a series of photos from her time on the soap, including the iconic snap outside the Rovers.
In the caption, she wrote: “Three years playing the pocket rocket that is Lozza Bolton. Time flies when you’re genuinely having fun. Here’s a look back at some of my favourite moments so far…”
After giving each picture its own caption, she went on to say:

“I’m incredibly proud and grateful to have had the chance to portray such powerful storylines and spotlight important issues during my time on the cobbles so far.
