Fans were upset as a beloved contestant was forced to exit the jungle.

The latest celebrity from this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been eliminated, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

The group of famous faces had been enduring life in the Australian wilderness for around three weeks, but one contestant was forced to leave during Saturday’s episode (December 6).

Following the latest instalment, the current series confirmed that Celebrity’s Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, rapper Aitch, YouTuber Angry Ginge, and EastEnders actress Shona McGarty were the remaining four.

Fans have continued voting for their favourite jungle contestants, and Ant and Dec revealed the updated results, announcing who had finished in fourth place during the live broadcast. Ultimately, Aitch was told he would be leaving the camp, according to the Express.

This leaves Tom, Ginge, and Shona to compete for this year’s jungle crown. As he said his goodbyes, Ginge told his campmates: “I knew it.”

Before the eviction, Saturday’s episode saw the remaining contestants take on the iconic Cyclone Challenge.

As is tradition, all the celebrities donned superhero costumes complete with flowing capes. Ginge sported a bright orange outfit, calling himself “the pumpkin.”

Aitch went for red and dubbed himself “the red hot chilli stepper,” while Tom wore blue, taking on the name “the sapphire surfer.” Shona opted for silver, earning the title “the silver songstress.”

Eager to kick things off, Ant and Dec explained what lay ahead on “the world’s most expensive slip and slide.”

The challenge required all four stars to stand on designated markers and stay there until the trial ended. Starting on the spinning Twister, they then had to navigate off individually whenever the fireball signaled.

After leaving the jungle, Aitch spoke to Ant and Dec just moments after his exit. When asked if he was disappointed to be eliminated only a day before the final, he replied that he was “actually buzzing.”

Viewers were quick to react to the elimination, sharing their shock online. Many were stunned by the outcome, having seen Aitch — whose real name is Harrison — as one of the favourites to win the series. One amazed fan wrote on social media: “I was not expecting that, big shocker, Aitch was favourite to win.”

Another commented: “NAH, I ACTUALLY REFUSE TO BELIEVE HARRISON HAS GONE.” A third added: “The person who carried the whole series isn’t even in the final.”

Meanwhile, another fan remarked: “There goes my winner.” One social media user exclaimed: “You have got to be kidding! Time to riot!”
