The ex-Emmerdale actor has shared a concerning health update in the newest episode of his ITV reality show, Fletchers’ Family Farm.

Kelvin Fletcher has shared a worrying health update with viewers in the newest instalment of his ITV reality series, Fletchers’ Family Farm.

During today’s episode (November 23), the true extent of the former Emmerdale star’s injuries from a charity rugby match was finally revealed.
The actor had volunteered to play alongside professionals Gareth Ellis, Mark Flanagan and Danny McGuire to raise money for the David Lewis Centre, a charity supporting people with complex needs.

Although he was initially taken off the field, he later appeared back in the game and was brought down in a tackle. At the time, he admitted: “I’m hoping—touch wood—I haven’t, but it feels like I’ve torn my bicep.”

In the latest update shown to viewers, he confirmed that medical scans had now proved he had torn his bicep, leaving him unable to carry out his usual responsibilities on the farm, according to the Mirror.

“I think I’m going to need someone to step in for me,” he said on the show as he questioned whether he’d still be able to show his Lincoln Red cattle at the Royal Cheshire Show.
Speaking to his wife Liz, he admitted: “My arm is still really painful. It’s so sore, and I’m wondering if it might be better for you to take them instead. You’ll manage.”

He added: “We’ll see what happens, but be on standby. How do you feel about that?”

Liz, clearly not impressed, replied: “Well, not great, obviously,” as Kelvin reassured her that “despite the setbacks and disruptions, we’re still going.”

Later in the episode, Liz opened up about her concerns over showing the cattle, telling the cameras: “What I thought would be a relaxed day at the Cheshire Show with the kids, no pressure, no stress, has suddenly turned into me possibly having to step up and be the one in the ring with the cow because of Kelvin’s injury.”
She added: “I feel less prepared than I did last year. Even though he has a lovely, calm nature, you never know how he’ll react around the other bulls. But we’re committed now — there’s no backing out. We’re going.”

On top of his torn bicep, Kelvin was also shown dealing with a paper cut, prompting Liz to playfully call him a “delicate flower” before giving him a firm hug.
