“The character has been targeted by threats.”
EASTENDERS’ Zoe Slater’s stalker has been “uncovered” in a chilling scene – and it’s someone very familiar.
Zoe, portrayed by Michelle Ryan, returned to Walford in June and has since been targeted by an unknown harasser.

Zoe has recently been tormented by an unknown individual.
Her distress escalated when an earring was discovered near a threatening message left for her, potentially linking it to her stalker.
Kat and Alfie were later shocked to find out that the earring actually belonged to Jean.
In last night’s episode, Anthony Trueman offered support to Zoe as her stalking ordeal continued. Her former flame became a shoulder to cry on, and the pair shared a drink together.
However, tensions rose when an angry Jean arrived at the Queen Vic after being suspected of being the stalker. As she confronted Zoe, Anthony’s suddenly concerned expression sparked suspicion that he might be the one terrorizing her.
Jean turned to him and asked, “Has she accused you yet?” Anthony didn’t answer, instead appearing caught out.
By the end of tonight’s episode, which is already available on iPlayer, Zoe is seen kissing Anthony on her couch, telling him he is the “only one she trusts.” She leads him upstairs, and in a telling moment, Anthony’s sinister expression suggests he may indeed be her stalker.
ZOE’S RETURN
Michelle Ryan’s Zoe returned to Albert Square in the summer when her mother Kat remarried Alfie for the third time.
The character is best known for her explosive 2001 confrontation with her mother, yelling, “You ain’t my mother!” The iconic scene cemented Zoe as one of EastEnders’ most memorable characters.
Before her return, Michelle, now 41, shared her excitement about reprising the role. Speaking to GMB’s Richard Arnold, 55, she admitted she had “goosebumps” about coming back.
Her EastEnders family went out of their way to make her return smooth. Michelle explained: “I’ve always loved working with Jessie. We even had a cast dinner with the Slater family so I could feel welcomed by the new people I didn’t know.”
Seeing Jessie become so emotional during her comeback made the experience even more special.

“And when she found out I got the role again, she was screaming, and I just thought, this really feels like coming home.”
“It’s felt like I never left – everything was seamless and easy, so I feel very lucky.”
BECOMING A STAR
Michelle first appeared in 2000 alongside Jessie Wallace as Kat, Kasey Ainsworth as Little Mo, and Elaine Lordan as Lynne.
She left the show to pursue Hollywood, landing the lead in a big-budget remake of The Bionic Woman. However, the series failed to take off and was canceled after just one season.

Zoe left Albert Square in 2005, but during her absence, her relationship with Kat reportedly deteriorated again, and the pair have remained estranged ever since.
Michelle, who achieved success on both stage and screen following her initial EastEnders exit, previously explained why she decided to return.
She said: “The timing just felt right.
“I had already been considering a comeback after meeting up with Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) and reminiscing about our favourite memories from the show. I had also joined social media and saw there was still so much love for the character.”
